Train to Hire

Al Futtaim Education Foundation, in partnership with Al Futtaim Group Emiratistion Council, aspire to open doors for young Emiratis onto a career in education. At Al-Futtaim Group, we believe that Emirati youths should be active agents in shaping the future of the UAE across all sectors of the economy and human activity. It is paramount, in our view, that Emirati children being educated at private international schools can identify Emirati role models at school who act in a number of capacities, including teaching. To achieve this, we have teamed up with the University of Birmingham (UoB), the top-rated university in the UAE, to offer a fully funded Train-to-Hire Programme for selected applicants. The programme enables Emiratis to pursue a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education – International (PGCEi) at UoB, train at Deira International School and Universal American School, rated “Outstanding” and “Very Good,” respectively, and earn an income as they study and train.

We are looking forward to seeing more Emiratis excel and shine within the international school in particular, and the wider education industry in general.
